Requirements:
Proven experience as an Accounting Clerk or similar role.
Desire to join a successful company and grow as the company grows.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Strong math skills and ability to perform calculations accurately.
Works efficiently in a fast-paced environment with little supervision.
Responsibilities:
Full cycle accounts payable processing from coding invoices against the proper general ledger accounts to processing check-runs.
Verify purchase orders and post invoices into system properly. Prepare and process invoices according to contractual terms while
following appropriate procedures to ensure billing accuracy.
Prepare accounts payable checks per net terms and reconcile statements.
Record and maintain all 1099 information when setting up new vendors for payment.
Process 1099 year end forms and reports.
Research and answer vendor inquiries.
Research invoice quantity, price discrepancies, and proof of delivery issues.
Prepare financial reports and assist with AP month-end close and other activities.
Works safely at all times and complies with all safety regulations while working
Maintains equipment and work area in a clean and organized manner.
Works with a positive attitude and reports all questions or problems to the Manager.
Additional duties may be assigned as deemed necessary by Management.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting preferred.
Work Experience:
2+ years of accounting experience a plus
