Accountant

Accentuate Staffing has an immediate opening for a contract, hybrid accountant to join a busy corporate office. This role will work closely with the controller and will play a crucial role in the day-to-day financial operations, contributing to the overall accuracy of the Company’s financial reporting structure.

Responsibilities:

• Balance sheet reconciliations, including cash, debt, prepaids, payroll, and other accruals
• Perform detailed review of vendor bills, credit card expenses, and payments processed by staff

• Reconcile transactions in ERP
• Prepare journal entries for payroll, debt, prepaids, and other accounts as needed
• Advise management on accounting implications of certain transactions and budget
• variances/trends
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting regulations, internal controls, and company
• policies, and champion process improvements
• Support tax and audit compliance by compiling and preparing supporting information as
• requested

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related discipline
• 3+ years of progressive experience in corporate accounting or public accounting
• General understanding of US GAAP
• Strong time management, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned areas
• Proactively organized, detail oriented, and works with a high degree of accuracy
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Large ERP system experience is required – NetSuite is Preferred
