Job Title: Accountant
Reports to: Corporate Finance Manager
Job Summary:
The position entrails assisting with the preparation of financial statements, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, and supporting the day-to-day accounting operations. This position provides an excellent opportunity for recent graduates to gain practical experience and develop their accounting skills in a professional environment.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation of financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Perform general accounting duties, including account reconciliations, journal entries, and maintaining the general ledger.
Help with the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all financial data is accurate and up-to-date.
Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, including invoicing, payment processing, and expense tracking.
Support the preparation and filing of tax documents, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Collaborate with team members to audit and review financial documents for accuracy and completeness.
Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts, providing insights into financial performance and trends.
Maintain and organize financial records, ensuring they are easily accessible and properly archived.
Provide administrative support to the finance team as needed.
Skills/Abilities:
Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in data entry and financial analysis.
Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Eagerness to learn and develop in the accounting field.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required
