Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or experience in school accounting preferred
  • Knowledge of accounting and fiscal procedures
  • Proficiency in Excel or similar software
  • Detail oriented with the ability to multitask
  • Ability to maintain high standards while meeting tight deadlines
  • Self-starter with the ability to problem solve and work independently
  • Ability to communicate with a variety of constituents clearly and effectively both orally and in writing

Job Description

  • Responsible for maintaining student activity budgets, purpose statements, and fundraiser activities
  • Assist with accounts payable processes
    • Review invoices and purchase orders for accuracy
    • Process and send checks
  • Assist with accounts receivable processes
    • Prepare checks for deposit
    • Process receipts within the accounting system
  • Assist Payroll Manager with payroll processes
    • Process monthly insurance bills
    • Set up pay for new staff
    • Maintain staff records for the State of Ohio
    • Process timesheets
    • Create and distribute Salary Notices
    • Assist with the payroll process
    • Create and distribute W-2
  • Possess the ability to reconcile receipts for month-end processing
  • Provide training and customer service for school principals, secretaries, and other employees
  • Prepare management ad-hoc reporting
  • Other Duties as assigned
