Accountant

Our client is one of the nations leading manufacturers and is adding an Accountant to their team due to growth. This position will have high visibility to the Controller and ability to work on unique projects as the business continues to grow.

Hybrid: 1 to 2 days in office per week

Key Responsibilities

• Compile and analyze financial data to assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including account reconciliations.
• Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are consistently met.
• Analyze financial information to recommend or develop resource-efficient procedures, provide strategic recommendations, and address business and financial challenges.
• Verify support schedules against general ledger control accounts.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts, and review sales, cost of goods sold, and expense accounts for accuracy, making corrections as needed.
• Compile and post monthly journal entries.
• Assist external auditors from insurance, government, and accounting sectors.
• Validate financial transactions and reconcile discrepancies by analyzing account information and supporting documents.
• Support ad hoc analyses and special projects as required.

Minimum Qualifications

• B.S. Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 1 to 5 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Proficiency in balance sheet account reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close required.
• Experience with intercompany transactions and external audits preferred.
