Accountant Senior

Job Description:

This position safeguards Intermountain Healthcare's assets through monthly accounting operations and internal controls and ensures accurate and compliant financial reporting.

This is a hybrid position being offered to local Utah applicants only.

The Intermountain Ventures team is looking for an intellectually curious Senior Accountant to be part of an innovative, mission-driven accounting team within Intermountain Healthcare.

• Understands and explains all aspects of the accounting process for Intermountain Ventures’ operations, strategic investments and partnerships.
• Performs routine and non-routine accounting tasks requiring in-depth analysis and problem solving.
• Acts as an accounting technical resource to others.
• Understands and explains the interrelationship of accounting with non-finance areas of the company.
• Provides expertise in applying generally accepted accounting principles to all phases of accounting operations for Intermountain Ventures.
• May act as a mentor to other members of accounting services.
• Responsible for in-depth analysis and critical accounting entries during the month-end close and financial statement review.
• May have responsibility for training, coordinating, and reviewing work of others.
• May be a project lead or perform supervisory duties.
• Assists in the preparation of internal and external audit schedules.
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, with four years of professional accounting experience. - OR - Master's degree with two years of experience. (Master of Business Administration or Master of Accountancy). Degree must be obtained through an accredited institution. Education is verified.

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA
• Masters of Accountancy
• Certified Public Accountant
• Investment fund accounting experience
  
  

Physical Requirements:

• Interact with others requiring the employee to communicate information.
• Operate computers and other office equipment requiring the ability to move fingers and hands.
• See and read computer monitors and documents.
• Remain sitting or standing for long periods of time to perform work on a computer, telephone, or other equipment.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

$32.77 - $51.61
