$22.80/hr - $26.40/hr
Description

We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Assistant in Saint Paul, Minnesota. This role is in the financial industry and the successful candidate will be working in a dynamic and fast-paced workplace. As an Accounting Assistant, you will be instrumental in maintaining financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize accounting software systems to record, store, and analyze information.
  • Collaborate with the team to perform basic accounting functions including ledger/fund account maintenance and reconciliation, as well as account analysis and reporting.
  • Handle data entry tasks for the maintenance and updating of all financial data.
  • Work with ADP Financial Services to manage payroll and other financial transactions.
  • Work with Concur to manage business expenses and accounts payable.
  • Use ERP to manage business processes, including procurement, accounting, and supply chain operations.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures and recommending changes.
  • Enhance department and organization's reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
  • Familiarity with all basic Accounting Functions
  • Strong Data Entry skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Strong numerical skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Relevant degree or certification in Accounting or related field would be advantageous.
