Accounting Associate

Spherion Jacksonville is teaming up with Spherion St. Augustine in our search for an Accounting Associate for our client located in Ponte Vedra Beach. The Accounting Associate will work closely with the Controller to assist in all aspects of accounting, finance, and tax preparation, while also providing executive assistant support to the leadership team. The Accounting Associate is responsible for assisting with the preparation of financial statements, analyzing monthly property financials, supporting various accounting functions that contribute to the overall financial performance of the organization, and managing executive administrative activities.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing all aspects of multi-family residential property accounting, such as AP/AR deposits, bank reconciliations, and monthly financial statements
• Monthly bank reconciliations
• Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports
• Processing invoices and NNN rent payments received
• Support month-end and year-end close processes
• Assist with external tax companies by providing documentation and explanations as needed
• Collaborate with other departments to provide financial information and support as needed
• Stay updated on accounting principles, regulations, and industry trends
• Oversee the administrative activities and daily operations of the office
• Serve as the primary point of contact for investor and office relations
• Prepare investor reports ??? quarterly and ad hoc
• Assist in the creation of investor presentations as needed
• Support executive team with various administrative tasks, ensuring high attention to detail
• Utilize technology tools to enhance productivity and streamline processes
• Perform additional tasks and projects as required by the executive team
  
  

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

• Bachelor???s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Experience in real estate accounting with a focus on multifamily investments
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations
