About the Role:

As the Director of Accounting, you will play a key role in managing the financial operations of the private real estate division. You will lead a team of professionals responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all financial data. Your expertise will be crucial in supporting strategic decisions and enhancing the division's financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the financial reporting process for the private real estate portfolio, ensuring compliance with GAAP and other relevant standards.
• Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes for the division, working closely with senior management.
• Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Collaborate with the investment team to analyze and assess the financial impact of potential real estate acquisitions and dispositions.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and oversee internal and external audits.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to the accounting team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification required.
• 5-10 years years of experience in accounting, with a strong focus on real estate investments.
• Extensive knowledge of GAAP and experience with financial reporting in the real estate sector.
• Proven leadership skills with experience managing a team of accounting professionals.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with excellent attention to detail.
