Accounting Intern

We’re seeing a diligent and driven accounting intern to support our team of bookkeepers and FinOps during our busiest season. The ideal candidate is a student in their junior or senior year of an accounting or finance undergraduate program looking for experience and an opportunity to grow.

Who we are:

ACI is a leading regulatory accounting firm that provides full-service accounting and regulatory reporting functions for approximately FINRA member broker dealers and financial services companies. We support our clients with full-service bookkeeping, accounting, Series 27 FinOp licensing, and submissions of regulatory filings for broker dealer members.

As an Accounting Intern, you will be:

• Supporting our bookkeepers with reconciling and printing 1099 tax forms
• Gather Audit support
• Format Audit templates and update for notes
• Assist with amortization/prepaid expense schedules
• Assist with cleaning up client permanent files
• Assist with the preparation of bank reconciliations
• Quality control on client due dates
• Organize and tidy up our Firm Resources and Files
• Create instruction sheets for every client (shadow a bookkeeper/FinOp, then do a write-up on it)
• Identify and carryout other projects as assigned

Qualities we're looking for:

• Must be currently enrolled in an Accounting or Finance program with an affiliated college or university
• 3rd or 4th year students preferred, CPA track is a plus
• Basic knowledge of accounting practices
• Strong organization skills
• Close attention to detail
• Good communication skills (written and verbal)
• Identifying and carrying out other projects as assigned
