Accounting Manager

Our client is searching for a skilled Accounting Manager to join their fully remote team. This pivotal role involves managing and overseeing the company’s accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial records, and adhering to accounting regulations. The successful candidate will bring significant experience with NetSuite and a robust background in the consumer packaged goods industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the month-end close process to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Supervise daily accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and other relevant regulations.
• Manage tax compliance and oversee third-party tax software and support.
• Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Ensure comprehensive documentation and record-keeping.
• Cultivate a collaborative and high-performing remote work environment.
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Engage in strategic planning and decision-making processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline (CPA preferred).
• At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong focus on consumer packaged goods.
• Proficiency with NetSuite and other accounting tools (e.g., QBO, Bill.com, TaxJar).
• In-depth knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, particularly in a remote setting.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in the wellness or direct-to-consumer (DTC) sectors is a plus.
