Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Manager to lead our accounting team and oversee the company's financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, financial reporting, and team leadership. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial statements, managing internal controls, and supporting strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Ensure timely and accurate reporting to stakeholders.
  • Accounting Operations: Oversee daily accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll. Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Internal Controls: Design, implement, and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial reporting.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with department heads to develop annual budgets and financial forecasts. Analyze variances and provide insights to improve financial performance.
  • Audit and Compliance: Coordinate and manage internal and external audits. Ensure all financial practices adhere to regulations and accounting standards.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor accounting staff. Provide training and professional development opportunities to enhance team performance and career growth.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounting function.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct detailed financial analysis and provide recommendations to support business decisions. Prepare ad-hoc reports as needed.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or CMA designation preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role. Experience in [specific industry, if applicable] is a plus.
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
    • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
