Unlocking Financial Excellence: Your Role as a Financial Dynamo! 2. Reconciliation Expertise

  • Financial Oversight
  • Review expenses, supplier invoices, and customer credits.
  • Import and resolve transactions from the ERP system.
  • Provide technical assistance to A/R and A/P clerks.
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements (Canadian, US, UK).
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies.
  • Records Management
  • Maintain supplier and customer profiles in the ERP system.
  • Financial Reporting
  • Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis, Budgeting.
  • Tax Compliance
  • Complete HST and VAT returns.
  • Assist with government remittances.
  • Internal Controls
  • Ensure adherence to company policies.
  • Implement effective financial controls.
  • Process Efficiency
  • Identify and implement improvements.
  • Streamline accounting procedures.
  • Collaborative Approach
  • Uphold company values.
  • Foster respectful communication and collaboration.
  • CFO's Right hand:
  • Tackle additional duties as instructed by the CFO.
  • Participate in special projects.

Qualifications

  • Experience: At least 5 years in finance roles, handling accounts receivable/payable, bank reconciliations, and bill payments.
  • Certification: An accounting designation would be a huge plus!
  • Training: You’ve completed at least one year of formal accounting training.
  • Principles: Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Tech-Savvy: Previous experience with accounting software like Sage or QuickBooks.
