We are looking for an Accounting Manager to manage all financial transactions, from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank deposits and budgets.

Accounting Manager responsibilities include auditing financial documents and procedures, reconciling bank statements and calculating SBOE tax payments and returns. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience with accounting at a high level and a flair for spotting numerical mistakes.

Ultimately, you will provide us with accurate quantitative information on financial position, liquidity and cash flows of our business, while ensuring we’re compliant with all tax regulations.

Job Description—Realistic

We are a small, successful, privately owned specialty subcontractor who needs someone who can juggle several tasks at once, keep track of all things money (payroll, AR, AP), hold co-workers accountable for correct record keeping, make sure the government stays away by meeting all requirements/regulations, weave all of our systems into some sort of coherent reporting, create and implement accounting policies, act as HR, meet all certified and union payroll requirements, etc. In other words the ideal candidate can do whatever falls on his/her desk on any given day, and in return will always be challenged and never be bored.

Responsibilities

• Manage all accounting transactions
• Oversee accounting staff
• Prepare budget forecasts
• Manage prevailing wage and union reporting
• Manage payroll processes, including HR
• Complete all sales/use tax reporting
• Produce balance sheets and profit/loss in a timely manner
• Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings
• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
• Ensure timely credit card payments
• Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity
• Audit financial transactions and documents
• Reinforce financial data confidentiality
• Comply with financial policies and regulations
  
  

Requirements And Skills

• Work experience as an Accounting Manager
• Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the GAAP
• Thorough understanding of the accounting process from entries to closings
• Hands-on experience with accounting software like QuickBooks, Foundation, SAGE, or similar software
• Intermediate MS Excel skills
• Experience using LCP Tracker, Elations, and the DIR websites for certified payroll entries--please DO NOT apply if you lack this experience
• Experience with ADP and Paylocity a plus
• Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
• BS in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience

Compensation

Heavenly Greens offers a competitive compensation packet including health insurance, paid holidays, sick pay, and 401K. Salary range for this position is $80,000 to $85,000.

We are looking replace our current Manager who is retiring. Our goal is to find the right person who is looking for a long-term commitment while fitting into our culture. With that in mind, we would hire immediately if we found the right person. But we would also be willing to wait for the right person to be able to join our team.
