This is a hybrid-remote position, allowing you the flexibility to work from the comfort of your home while maintaining a strong collaborative presence with the team during in-office days. The Accounting Manager will be expected to report to the office 2-3 days per week.

Accounting Manager Key Responsibilities
- Assist internal and external accounting team with preparing monthly financial statements for all entities by providing various reconciliations.
- Contribute to the development of improved accounting systems, procedures, and policies.
- Prepare invoices to be sent to clients, including payroll, expense reimbursements, and keeping track of management fees.
- Monitor Accounts Receivable balance and follow up with customers to expedite cashflow.
- Ensure accurate processing of invoices in Accounts Payable and assist with various steps in the process.
- Foster a strong partnership with cross-functional teams to facilitate information sharing and support company-wide initiatives.
- Track and maintain Annual Reports with all state agencies.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, service providers, and other partners to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
- Oversee staff accountant, including building a positive relationship and investing in their professional growth.
- Work with corporate accounting group to ensure financial reporting integrity. Ensure that all accounts have fully complied with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting standards.
- Work with front line managers to develop knowledge and accountability for departmental financial information.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
- 6-9 years of related experience, ideally in a public accounting role.
- Strong organizational skills, communication, and strategic thinking abilities.
- Must have advanced Excel proficiency.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
