About The Role
Our Lifesciences client is looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to come in and join their team. They are looking for someone who can work independently and pick things up quickly. You must be able to succeed in a fast-paced, complex, and growing environment. The ideal candidate will have a track record in setting and hitting priorities, as well as excellent analytic and organizational skills to serve a key role in the Finance Department.

Responsibilities
Manage and oversee the day-to-day GL accounting functions and month end close process, reviewing journal entries and related supporting schedules to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
Review balance sheet account reconciliations and analyze financial data for discrepancies
Prepare and review monthly financial statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to GAAP
Develop, implement, and monitor performance metrics and reporting on established KPI’s related to Accounts Payable.
Perform analytical review of the financial statements, complete review of all account reconciliations and monthly international financial packages.
Identify and implement process improvements and automation to reduce the time to close and improve the accuracy of underlying accounting records.
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to drive operational efficiencies.
Identify and implement process improvement opportunities.
Analyze forecast vs. actual and consult with management to drive course correction.
Develop key reconciliations and enhance controls in the close process.
Partner with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and solve problems.
Take on additional accounting responsibilities and ad-hoc projects as the role advances and the company scales
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance
Public Accounting experience preferred
CPA preferred
ERP Experience such as Oracle, NetSuite, SAP, MS Dynamics 365, Sage 300, Acumatica, MS Business Central, JD Edwards, MS Dynamics GP or Intacct all deemed good.
Eye for details – attention to quality and accuracy is of paramount importance in this role.
