Job Description:

The Accounting Manager will oversee general accounting, cost accounting, accounts payable, payroll, and treasury functions to ensure accurate financial transaction processing and timely financial reporting for decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and distribute financial statements and statistical information monthly, quarterly, and annually to management, the Board of Directors, creditors, and shareholders.
• Supervise the accounting and payroll staff and systems.
• Oversee inventory and cost accounting functions to ensure accurate cost of sales and inventory balances.
• Reconcile key accounts monthly and coordinate year-end audit preparation.
• Manage accounts payable to ensure timely disbursements to vendors and compliance with Form 1099 filing requirements.
• Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing and compliance with government regulations using UKG payroll software.
• Manage the treasury function for accurate control of cash, checks, and ACH payments.
• Communicate with management to provide accounting information, analysis, and procedural guidance.
• Provide training and development for accounting staff.
• Participate in new system selection and implementation affecting Accounting/General Ledger.
• Handle special projects and analysis as requested by the VP of Finance and Treasurer and the Executive Team.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting with a minimum of five years of experience in financial statement presentation, financial analysis, budgeting, and accounting controls.
• At least three years of public accounting experience, with an active or inactive CPA license.
• Minimum of three years of supervisory experience as an Accounting Manager or Controller, including oversight of Accounts Payable.
• Experience supervising payroll for a large employee base.
• Proficiency with UKG software.
• Experience with Cost Accounting and NetSuite software.
