Plans, implements and supervises the Firm’s financial strategy
Manages the Firm’s financial accounts, payroll, budget, cash receipts and financial assets with limited supervision
Completes month-end, quarter-end and year-end closings
Verifies reports and reconciles discrepancies
Serves as the client contact for accounts receivable
Handles and/or oversees transactions and debts
Handles cash flow forecasting
Performs internal financial audits
Follows standard accounting principles and procedures to reach financial objectives
Monitors and analyzes financial accounting data
Creates financial reports based on data analysis
Makes financial recommendations to the Firm Administrator, Board and Shareholders
Identifies accounting errors and irregularities and notifies the Firm Administrator and/or Board of such errors
Uses independent judgment and initiative based on familiarity with the Firm’s accounting practices and procedures.
Directly supervises accounting staff
Works collaboratively, in a team environment
Maintains strict confidentiality, internally and externally
Follows all policies and procedures
Attends work regularly in the Firm offices
Other duties as assigned or required
Minimum Qualifications
Some College or experience equivalent; accounting degree preferred
Previous accounting experience preferred
Knowledge of Orion Financial Software helpful
Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and practices
Excellent Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Outlook, Excel)
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
Excellent proofreading skills
Excellent organizational skills
