The Accounting Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and efficient management of accounting processes. This position requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Coordinate and lead the annual audit process, liaise with external auditors and provide necessary documentation and support.
Manage and mentor the accounting team, providing guidance and support for professional development.
Analyze financial data and provide insights to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
Monitor and improve financial controls and systems to safeguard company assets.
Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Collaborate with other departments to support overall company objectives and initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA or CMA certification preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including 2-3 years of management experience.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
