We seek a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accounting Manager to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will oversee the accounting operations, ensure compliance with federal regulations, and provide financial guidance to support the firm's objectives.

We seek a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accounting Manager to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will oversee the accounting operations, ensure compliance with federal regulations, and provide financial guidance to support the firm's objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial and Management Reporting: Prepare monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements in a timely manner. Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and federal regulations.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process and develop financial forecasts. Monitor budget performance, analyze variances, and recommend corrective actions.
- Compliance and Audit: Ensure adherence to all federal contracting requirements, including the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS). Coordinate and manage internal and external audits.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable: Oversee and support the management of accounts payable and receivable functions. Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and collections.
- Cost Control and Analysis: Implement and monitor cost control measures. Conduct financial analysis to identify areas of improvement and provide strategic recommendations.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team skills and knowledge.
- System Management: Oversee the maintenance of accounting systems and software. Ensure data integrity and accuracy.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a management role within a Federal Government contracting firm.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of GAAP, FAR, and CAS. Intermediate experience with Unanet, Costpoint, or similar ERP systems (Unanet preferred).
- Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong leadership and management abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent computer skills including Excel and data analysis
- Detail-Oriented: High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Proactive: Ability to anticipate issues and take initiative to solve them.
- Integrity: Strong ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
