Accounting Manager (hybrid)

Summary

The Accounting Manager will be a core member of the Finance & Accounting team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, exceptional attention to detail, and knowledge of operational accounting and finance functions. As the Company grows, this role will be given opportunities to own Finance and Accounting processes as well as to work strategically with senior management to improve and grow the business.

Responsibilities

• Perform and validate company’s full-cycle accounting procedures, including month-end close and year-end audit / tax filings
• Prepare account reconciliations while taking advantage of the tools available in NetSuite
• Manage the Company’s monthly customer billing process to ensure all customer invoices are accurately calculated and clearly documented in supporting schedules
• Maintain strong customer and vendor relationships
• Identify and implement potential improvements to the Company’s current accounting procedures
• Assist in the coordination of annual audit documentation and meetings with external auditors
• Design, prepare and analyze financial reports, as requested by management
• Provide answers to accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
• Evaluate various business transactions to determine the proper accounting treatment and suggest alternative strategies for structuring the transactions, if necessary
• Perform other financial functions including processing of expense reports, daily cash reporting and other duties as assigned
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, or related field
• 5-10 years of Accounting experience, public accounting a plus
• Familiarity with U.S. GAAP and corporate finance policies and procedures
• Experience working in NetSuite is strongly preferred
• Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the organization
• Problem solver with high degree of ethics and integrity
• Advanced Excel and analytical skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Must be a self-starter and proactive communicator and exercise independent judgment.
