We're seeking an experienced Senior Accountant or Corporate Accounting Manager to join our dynamic team at a leading Third Party Commercial Real Estate company. Our headquarters are located in Sandy Springs, and we offer a flexible hybrid work arrangement requiring only two days in the office per week.
About The Role
As our new Accounting Manager, you'll play a crucial role in managing our Joint Venture (JV) partnerships, ensuring timely communication of investment results and distributions. You'll work closely with auditors, tax preparers, and investors, providing support and addressing ad-hoc requests.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting and Analysis
Prepare and review Corporate Financial Statements, ensuring accuracy and timely distribution
Produce quarterly management company financial reports, including contract analysis
Calculate and communicate JV distributions as per agreements
Facilitate quarterly investor reporting packages
Generate quarterly cash forecasts and financial distribution projections for all JVs
Accounting and Reconciliation
Maintain monthly JV financials, ensuring timely recording and payment of invoices
Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and post adjusting entries
Process corporate invoices, expense reports, and miscellaneous deposits
Manage corporate credit cards and split billing
Create and maintain appropriate accruals for month-end close
Audit and Tax Support
Collaborate with external auditors for corporate financial audits
Facilitate annual tax returns for the company and JVs
Ensure timely distribution of K-1s to all investors
Asset and Liability Management
Review and code fixed asset additions, updating depreciation schedules
Manage corporate accounts receivable and communicate risks to CFO
Oversee liability insurance maintenance and certificate issuance
Industry-Specific Tasks
Process monthly billings for properties
Create invoices for hotel task force personnel and expenses
Prepare reports for insurance audits and special requests
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business, preferably in Finance or Accounting
Minimum 5 years of GAAP Accounting experience at a corporate level
CPA certification is a plus
Hospitality industry experience is advantageous
Extensive knowledge of financial statement preparation, accounts payable, payroll, and income audit systems
