Responsibilities:

Lead and Mentor: Guide a team of skilled accounts payable specialists, providing mentorship and fostering professional growth.

Specialize: Personally handle specialized payment areas, including employee benefits, business licenses, business travel, insurance, and more.

Process Optimization: Streamline accounts payable workflows, identify areas for improvement, and implement best practices.

Vendor Relations: Collaborate with vendors to maintain positive relationships and resolve any payment-related issues.

Financial Reporting: Prepare regular reports on accounts payable status, aging, and outstanding balances.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.

Continuous Learning: Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements to enhance your skills.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of progressively responsible A/P experience in a high volume, fast paced environment, including a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office/365, especially Excel and Outlook.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent leadership and communication abilities. Effectively relates to and interacts with all levels of leadership in the company.
• Construction, manufacturing, and distribution experience are each strong pluses.
• Experience with company audits and ensuring compliance with company policy and procedures.
• High School Diploma required; some college is preferred.
