Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Acquisition Specialist Project Manager for the Tenants Contract, supporting the Air Force Division. The successful candidate will assist the 350th Spectrum Warfare Wing (350 SWW), at Eglin AFB, Florida. The 350 SWW is the technical focal point for all electronic warfare (EW) support of warfighter systems for the Combat Air Forces (CAF) fighter, bomber, airborne surveillance, and helicopter platforms.

JOB STATUS: Full Time

TRAVEL: 5% CONUS/OCONUS TDYs

Required Qualifications / Skills

• Master’s degree. Years of relevant experience may be substituted for lack of degree.
• 10 years applicable experience.
• Active Secret Security Clearance (US citizenship required).
• DAIWA Level II or Practitioner Program Management (or equivalent)
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel and Microsoft SharePoint, expert attention-to-detail & highly organized.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of AF instructions and operations
• Demonstrated ability to recognize and analyze problems, conduct research, summarize results, and make appropriate recommendations.
  
  

Desired Qualifications / Skills

• Operational EW experience on any CAF platform is highly desirable.
• Professional military education such as Air Command and Staff College or Senior NCO Academy is desired.
• Previous experience in RF integration, EM spectrum management, antenna design, and digital signal processing is desired; also desired is knowledge of EW weapons systems development, test and evaluation, and systems engineering.
  
  

Responsibilities

• Provide advice and assistance in reviewing the development of Project Management directives, operational requirement documents, and other program documents and efforts in support of EW system improvements and follow-on enhancements to aircraft countermeasures components.
• Provide advice and assistance recommending critical operational issues (COIs) and program objectives; developing proposed designs, methods, and scenarios; recommending M&S requirements; and proposing program schedules.
• Provide advice and assistance in support of working groups, technical reviews, and other group activities, such as test plan working groups (TPWGs), project management reviews (PMRs), preliminary design reviews (PDRs), and critical design reviews (CDRs).
• Provide advice and assistance while attending program meetings and make recommendations on technical and functional process matters and decisions.
• Provide advice and assistance in preparing and presenting technical status briefings documenting progress, accomplishments, and problem areas affecting defined task areas.
• Advise and assist by supporting, as required, other EW projects. This support shall include assistance in developing aircrew mission guides, MD development and threat system documents, EW reference documents, and EW study and analysis reports. The Contractor shall assist, as required, in the production of EW project documentation in electronic media formats.
