The Michelson Organization is a St. Louis-based commercial real estate investment firm specializing in the acquisition and asset management of institutional quality multifamily and industrial assets throughout the United States. With over $1.5 billion of assets currently under management, The Michelson Organization has leveraged over 90 years of experience to create a dynamic, vertically integrated investment platform designed to meet the needs of multinational institutional investors.
Analyst Responsibilities
Working directly with the Acquisition and Asset Management teams, the Acquisitions Analyst responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Source and underwrite potential multifamily and industrial investments in target U.S. markets.
- Perform detailed research and analysis on real estate markets and submarkets to guide investment decisions.
- Coordinate and analyze due diligence and financing activities with third parties and consultants.
- Prepare investment memorandums and other offering materials for investment committee presentations.
- Maintain relationships with industry professionals for deal sourcing such as brokers, owners and developers.
- Selectively accompany senior Acquisition Team members on property tours and market evaluation trips.
- Assist in the timely preparation and distribution of investor reports on a quarterly and annual basis.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or other 4-year university degree
- 1 to 3 years of related work experience in real estate, finance or private equity preferred, but not required
- Strong quantitative, financial analysis and modeling skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel
- A relationship-oriented problem solver with the ability to manage multiple dynamic tasks simultaneously
- An entrepreneurial mindset capable of working well in a team environment while also taking ownership of tasks
- Ability to travel overnight selectively on a monthly basis
