Job Responsibilities
This position is located on the Beltline or Airport campus in the School of Business. This is a temporary, part-time work opportunity between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM Monday through Friday.
Minimum And Additional Requirements
Master’s degree with 18 credit hours in Accounting related course work.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree Accounting/Accountancy or master’s degree in Taxation or an LLM, professional certification such as CPA with two years of relevant work experience. Teaching experience in post-secondary educational environment.

- Keeps student records and adheres to course schedules. Uses learning management systems to communicate with students, faculty, and staff. Participates in the collection of student learning outcomes.
- Assists the Accounting Program Director with timely notification of any shortfall in supplies or equipment needed for instruction. Conducts lectures, discussions, and other teaching activities. Relates instruction and material to course objectives.
- Provides students with course syllabi and correlates grade assignments with skill and course competency. Submits grades, reports, and records in a timely manner. Remains current in field.
- Must have a broad knowledge of accounting practices and principles.
- To teach ACC 101 and 102, specific knowledge is required in the area(s) of analyzing, recording, and summarizing financial transactions, adjusting and closing financial records, preparing financial statements, ethics, managerial accounting, cost accounting, budgeting, cost-volume analysis, and financial statement analysis.
- To teach ACC 224, specific knowledge is required in tax reporting requirements and taxation of the proprietorship, partnership, S corporation, C corporation, and Limited Liability Company. Qualifications to teach other accounting courses will be evaluated on an as-needed basis.
