BETAH Associates, Inc., (BETAH) is seeking several Administrative Assistants to support the National Institutes of Health (NIH) with a long-term contract. These are full-time opportunities and are expected to be onsite at the client location in Research Triangle Park, NC.


Position Requirements


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


Administrative I


The candidate will perform the following administrative functions:


Implement generic clerical skills such as greeting and directing visitors, fielding phone calls, scheduling meetings, responding to callers, taking minutes, composing memos, transcribing, developing presentations, generating reports, and monitoring invoices and expense reports.


Perform other duties as assigned; additional duties may include filing and faxing,


Administrative II


The candidate will perform similar functionalities as the (Administrative I) role, but will also be required to perform the following tasks:


Perform administrative and office support activities that require an ability to multi-task and assist multiple NIH employees at once.


Perform word processing, spreadsheet management, and more advanced internet research.


Review and disseminate memorandums to staff; conduct documents control for office routing; prepare purchase requests for small purchases, review draft policies, standard operating procedures, and memorandums for grammar and format; coordinate travel and submit data into the NIH travel system; compile equipment requirements for office staff (e.g., laptops, printers, monitors); preparing training requests; and preparing matrix of office needs.


Perform other duties as assigned; duties might include filing and faxing.


Education and Experience:


Administrative Assistant I:


A minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required.


Minimum (1) year of experience in a similar administrative role preferred.


Must possess basic computer skills to conduct research and perform data entry.


Administrative Assistant II:


A minimum of a high school diploma or higher and two (2) years of related work experience.


Must possess advanced computer skills to assist with word processing, spreadsheet management, and performing internet research, as requested.
