Salary Range

$23.27 - $31.41 Hourly

$1,861.38 - $2,512.62 Biweekly

$4,033.00 - $5,444.00 Monthly

$48,396.00 - $65,328.00 Annually

The Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) helps individuals with disabilities prepare for and secure employment. We help them take their rightful place in the workforce and in the community.

The work unit exists to assist persons with disabilities who experience barriers to employment or independent living to attain a level of functioning that will enable them to enter, re-enter, or maintain employment and enhance skills necessary for living independently.

This position exists to provide administrative support and reception services in person and by phone, assuring effective, efficient communication, document management and excellent customer service to people we serve (PWS), staff, service providers, employers and others in the community who come in contact with DVR. This position will ensure that procurement procedures are followed and confidentiality of information is maintained.

This position is responsible for general administrative operations and support such as:

  • Front desk reception duties assisting internal and external customers; may serve as the first point of contact and must conduct business with a professional demeanor
  • Designing, implementing and documenting office procedures
  • Handling incoming and outgoing mail, paying attention to time-sensitive or legal notices
  • Budget tracking, including authorizing expenditures for office supplies; may assist with estimates for annual budget requests
  • Designing and implementing record keeping systems
  • Maintaining office equipment, ordering supplies and arranging for repairs
  • Tracking and maintaining an accurate list of unit asset inventory (office supplies, software, hardware, equipment and furniture)
  • Assisting unit staff with setting up meetings, preparing meeting materials, scanning documents, and electronic document creation or modification
  • Use analytical skills to adapt to various situations
  • Data entry into multiple programs with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Designing forms and documents
  • Generating reports as requested
  • Other duties as assigned

There is heavy use of computers and computer software such as Microsoft Office products, and internal CDLE software programs. This position must be proficient in computers and will use office equipment such as multi-line telephones, printers, copiers and scanners

Experience Only

Minimum Qualifications, Substitutions, Conditions of Employment & Appeal Rights

Three (3) years of relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned to this position

OR

Education And Experience

A combination of related education and/or relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned equal to three (3) years

  • Customer service experience interacting with the general public
  • Experience performing duties similar to those assigned to the position as a classified State of Colorado employee.

Conditions of Employment:

  • Must be a Colorado resident at time of application.

Appeal Rights

Minimum Qualification Screening
