The Branch Director effectively manages the Agency’s clinical operations, services, personnel performance, and office management on an ongoing basis.
Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:
Administrative Duties:
Supervise day-to-day office and clinical operations
Generate monthly on-call schedules and review on-call logs
Review and follow-up on complaint forms and QI reports
Oversee RN and PT Case Managers
Conduct monthly Aide in-services, staff meetings, and Case Manager meetings
Ensure agency and staff preparedness for on-site surveys and external audits
Function as a staff nurse when necessary
Participate in community awareness and education programs
Handle administrative on-call duties
Review and approve accounts payable and ensure timely submission
Ensure timely end of episode billing and address internal audit findings
Participate in the Agency Disaster Plan and act as the Agency Disaster Coordinator if needed
Perform additional duties as assigned
Clinical Duties:
Ensure individualized client plans of care and appropriate documentation
Complete review of evaluation packets, OASIS, and 485s
Follow up on referrals, non-admissions, and client issues
Approve weekly schedules and ensure productivity standards
Perform patient visits and participate in on-call rotation if needed
Conduct CQI functions and develop corrective plans
Participate in committee activities and review monthly reports
Quality Control:
Review Infection Control and Occurrence Reports
Implement corrective plans as necessary
Participate in QI data collection and route to appropriate parties
Prepare and submit ADR and Denial reviews
Employee Management:
Participate in recruiting, selection, and onboarding of employees
Assess and review employee performance
Train, develop, and supervise branch employees
Ensure adherence to company policies and code of conduct
Monitor employee retention and career development
Address unsatisfactory performance and policy violations
Ensure compliance with scheduling, hiring, payroll, and business planning processes
Work closely with HR to support compliance requirements
Perform additional duties as assigned
Key Contributions to Mission Success:
Work with the Coding Department to ensure correct OASIS scoring and service utilization
Maximize efforts on each visit to ensure quality
Promote company mission and culture
Monitor productivity and profitability using the Snapshot tool
Position Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (Bachelor's degree preferred)
Minimum of 3+ years of home health care experience
Minimum of 5+ years of nursing experience within the last 36 months
Minimum of 5+ years of successful employee and operations management experience
Medicare home health experience preferred
Current licensure in State & BLS CPR certification
Understanding of Federal, State, and local laws/regulatory guidelines
Valid driver's license with no restrictions and auto insurance meeting state minimums
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and basic math skills
Physical requirements: Prolonged walking/standing, ability to lift/transfer patients, and perform nursing skills with visual and aural acuity
Compensation:
Starting salary of $130,000 per year, open to negotiation.
