Description
AMDA College of the Performing Arts, with campuses in New York City and Hollywood, is one of the foremost post-secondary performing arts colleges in the country. AMDA offers various pathways for students to receive unparalleled performing arts education taught by world-class industry professionals, including Professional Conservatory Certificates as well as undergraduate and graduate degrees (Bachelor of Fine Arts, Bachelor of Arts, Associate of Occupational Studies, Master of Fine Arts and Master of Arts).
The Admissions Advisor will be responsible for the daily interaction with prospective students and their families over telephone, email and text. The Admissions Advisor will be encouraging and dedicated to ensuring that students have the support and resources they need to succeed in their college audition and application process for AMDA. The role will be responsible for maintaining call volume, in addition to building and maintaining relationships with prospective students from the time of inquiry to the point of audition in an effort to increase new student enrollments.

Primary Responsibilities
- Meet with prospective students, parents, family members, and other perspective student support persons to answer questions about AMDA, areas of study and opportunities for students, as well as all aspects of admissions, applications, auditions, registration, scholarship/financial aid, AMDA’s faculty and alumni, student life, and other areas as required. Communication is mostly via inbound and outbound phone calls, texts, and emails as well as in person as required.
- Conduct follow up and be responsible for working with specific potential students using excellent customer service and moving them forward through the admissions process until the point of acceptance from AMDA.
- Encourage students to book auditions and complete their AMDA application, assist them as needed in doing so.
- Work independently and collaboratively to meet admissions goals, with focused efforts on exemplary customer service, use of technology/systems, teamwork, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Use SLATE CRM and other technologies to track potential student application statuses, record interactions with potential students, and monitor prospective students progress through different forms of communication.
- Present and meet with large groups of prospective students and their families over the phone and in person.
- Participate in on campus events including auditions, information sessions, open houses, and orientations.
- Participate in a variety of calling / email campaigns in order to reach new potential students.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
- Minimum of 1-4 years’ higher education admissions advising experience and/or sales experience required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google platforms.
- Ability to collaborate, multi-task and be a team player.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent communication, sales and organizational skills.
- Experience using a CRM software (Slate and Five9 platforms) preferred.
- There are two regular schedules for this role, either Monday - Friday 10am - 7pm or Tuesday - Saturday 10am - 7pm. May be required to work an alternate schedule which would include weekend days periodically based on student calendar and department needs.
- The pay range for this position is $67,000 - $70,000 annually.
- This position is subject to a background check upon a conditional offer of employment and a reference check.
- This is a hybrid position with approximately 20% in-person and 80% remote work. In-person versus remote work is scheduled based on department needs.
