Base pay range

$38,000.00/yr - $43,000.00/yr
The Cleveland Institute of Art invites applicants for the role of our full-time Admissions Counselor. This position plays a direct role in recruiting prospective students who wish to pursue an education at The Cleveland Institute of Art by disseminating information to student and their parents, high school teachers and guidance counselors. The information is related to the admissions process at CIA including portfolio preparation and other admissions requirements, Financial Aid, and scholarship opportunities and is given at Portfolio Days, Open Houses, College fairs, High School visits and other CIA events.

A successful candidate will need experience in recruiting prospective students. This means participating in various activities such as visiting high schools and participating in college nights/fairs, and portfolio days as assigned conduct presentations and personal interviews with prospective students. Participate in on-campus visitation programming; Review applications for admissions: Respond by mail, e-mail, phone, etc. to prospective student question; coordinate additional projects and program responsibilities as assigned by the Director.

A Bachelor’s degree is required. While direct experience in art and/or in the admissions profession is highly desirable, it is not required. Must possess demonstrated knowledge of or ability to learn state and federal laws and ethical principles as outlined by the National Association of College Admissions Counselors.

Compensation

This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Compensation is commensurate with experience and qualifications. CIA offers a benefit package including; vacation, sick, and personal time accrual, as well as additional time off while the college is closed during winter break. CIA offers health and dental insurance, life and disability insurance, 403B retirement contribution, tuition remission, free campus parking, and inter-museum council discounts.
