The Advanced Pre-Sales Engineer, effectively a Service Solution Architect, is a client-focused financial services industry professional working closely with sales, internal service delivery and pricing teams in finance. The primary objective of this role is to provide pre-sales support with customer centric service solution design and integration due diligence to ensure services can be delivered to defined scope and that they are costed correctly. Solutions range from product related technical field services to high value add integrated managed services. Enabled by the Service Catalogue from the Service product management organization, act as the services subject matter expert (SME) on all service-related topics and to promote the consumption and adoption of the DN service portfolio.

This role requires insight and understanding of customer business challenges, customer & sales strategy, technical capabilities of the portfolio and the value delivered as the outcome. Key to the role is to integrate the service value propositions into the operational environment of the clients in a pre-sale’s capacity. This includes requirement analysis, scope validation, work breakdown structure, solution documentation, cost development, RAID-log documentation and ultimately solution sign-off as input to the proposal and commercial processes managed by the sales teams.

Responsibilities

  • Provides the full range of Advanced Pre-Sales Engineering support to assigned sales opportunities with medium to high complex services solution scope, with ranges up $100M in deal value.
  • Act as the Services SME for all service topics supporting sales in the pre-sales stage of the sales lifecycle and where required direct engagement with the end customer.
  • Responsible for the end-to-end solution design work from engagement to sign-off
  • Highly skilled at analyzing client requirements and working in collaboration with delivery teams (local and global), peer architects and engineers to develop service solutions.
  • Leverages persuasive sales methodologies to manage customer conversations and help drive deals to close.
  • Provides services portfolio centric support, onsite or remote, for industry events.
  • Contributes to the development of improved service solution design practices and input to the portfolio managers of the service portfolio.


Qualifications


Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 6+ years of relevant experience in pre-sales or equivalent combination of education and experience in a technical pre-sales capacity with proven strong performance.
  • Experience of or certified in ITIL v3 or higher.
  • Strong understanding of leveraging IT and technology to generate positive business outcomes by data driven service models.
  • Experienced in working with cost models and to develop and deliver cost sheet P&L input.
  • Experienced in relation to technical maintenance and/or managed services.
  • Understanding of Service Level Agreements & Key Performance Indexes
  • Strong business acumen with soft skills
  • Strong stakeholder management
  • Project management skills
  • Good document management skills documenting solutions and creating required document artifacts.
  • People leadership, be able to coach diverse teams and drive service-related discussions to secure required outcomes to meet objectives and timelines.


Preferred Qualifications

  • High preference for candidate located in Eastern time zone.
  • Advanced Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • ATM channel business operations experience
  • Payment industry experience (Understanding of card schemes and PCI DSS compliance)
  • Spanish language skills
  • Proven strong collaboration skills with a multitude of technical areas and cross functional teams in a matrix organization.
  • Process, quality and tools centric work model experience (example: TOGAF, LEAN, SIX SIGMA)

Salary Range: $110,000 to $135,000. Actual compensation for this role will depend on several factors including your qualifications, skills, competencies and relevant experience. You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the plan and/or program, whereby an award, if any, may depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
