Our direct client in Chicago is looking for an Agile Coach for a long term Contract position. This role is 3 days on-site hybrid. Looking for local candidates to Chicago. There is no negotiation on days on-site.


The Agile Coach is an individual who has extensive Agile practical-usage experience and theoretical knowledge across a broad range of industries at various levels of Agile maturity. This leadership and mentoring role is highly adaptive and requires excellent communication (verbal, written), facilitation and presentation skills; wide breadth of technical aptitudes across Business and Technology roles; ability to assess situations, provide creative solutions and mitigations based on vast experience; and influence outcomes.


The individual works across all levels of the organization to increase Agile acumen, develop and enhance intellectual property, and standardize and implement processes and best practices to ensure successful adoption of Agile principles and techniques to achieve the greatest business value. The Agile Coach works with the team and senior leadership to drive the adoption and optimization of Agile practices across the Enterprise, and must be abreast of the various Agile frameworks and methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, XP, SAFe, etc.) at an advanced level. First-hand involvement with Agile transformation and scaling efforts is required. In addition to being an Agile expert, the Agile Coach provides mentoring and coaching to other Agile Coaches and Scrum Masters; and must be able to correlate learnings to principles and practices with supporting, relevant examples.


Qualifications (must haves):

Seasoned Agile Coach having a total of 18+ years of total experience

Working/Hands on experience with Agile teams using SAFe framework

Expert understanding of advanced and basic software development methodologies and fundamentals (Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Lean, Waterfall, etc.)

Understanding of all facets of the software development life cycle including: planning, requirements management, development, quality assurance, change management and release management

Experience with developing, testing and deploying software utilizing a rapid, iterative delivery method

Experience with continuous integration and test-driven development practices, test automation and tools

Experience with Agile Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps)

Agile Certifications such as SPC, IC Agile Coaching certifications
