About The Team And Position

Carvana is looking for an enthusiastic, experienced, and detail-oriented individual to support our growing Finance and Capital Markets business. This person will play a key role in maintaining various financial forecast models related to our Capital Markets and Auto Lending business, as well as driving Capital Markets activity that supports the funding of our Auto Lending platform. This person will also have the opportunity to grow into a key contributor to our Capital Markets execution and strategy. And importantly, you will see your contributions have an immediate, tangible impact every day in a well-funded and rapidly growing company.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Play a critical role in driving analytics and forecasting within our lending business, including the development and maintenance of key financial and operating models.
• Perform financial forecasting, report on financial performance, and create financial models that are used to monitor Carvana’s Finance and Capital Markets business functions.
• Interact and work closely with other members of the Finance and Capital Markets team, with high visibility into Carvana’s financing initiatives and lending business.
• Play a critical role in the ongoing financial planning and analysis of our auto finance business, including our various receivables funding channels (securitization, forward flow, discrete pool sales, private loan sales, warehouse funding facilities).
• Monitor performance of existing capital markets transactions and prepare reports/analysis for both internal and external stakeholders, such as investors, lending partners, and rating agencies.
• Evaluate and identify meaningful patterns and trends and provide ongoing reports and recommendations to the business.
• Transform data-driven insights into clear, concise, and compelling presentations. This includes developing visual aids, crafting narratives, and effectively communicating the findings to relevant stakeholders.
• Other data-related projects as required by management.
  
  

What You Should Know/have

• A Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience, in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a similar field.
• 2+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or business.
• Proficient in SQL, Tableau, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Powerpoint, Word).
• Strong fluency in Excel formulas and functions.
• Strong business acumen, analytical thinking skills, and robust understanding of Finance and Economics
• Advanced analytical skills with experience collecting, organizing, analyzing, and disseminating abundant information with accuracy.
• Experience with functional analysis, dashboarding, and presentation development.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Confidentiality and integrity while handling sensitive information.
• Proven ability to manage deliverables and metrics against aggressive targets and timelines.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Extremely organized with high attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
• Goal-oriented, enthusiastic, self-motivated mindset with the ability to interact and communicate effectively in a high stakes environment.
