Job Description

The Analyst Private Equity Capital Markets Investment Banking:

  • Work within a deal team under the overall direction of a senior officer.
  • Maintain confidentiality of client information.
  • Research and analyze clients' financial situations, industry and market data, and capital structures;
  • Value private companies;
  • Maintain database of investors across all industry coverage areas;
  • Assist deal team in investor outreach, including tracking relevant interactions;
  • Perform complex financial and capital structure modeling in Excel;
  • Prepare external client proposals, transaction updates and internal memos; and,
  • Assist clients in developing transaction marketing materials
  • Analyze investor proposals/term sheets and recommend investor outreach.
  • Establish an environment that promotes respect for the individual employee and adheres to the policies and guidelines of the Bank.
  • You are required to demonstrate governance, control and risk management behaviors in alignment with TD policies and practices.

Provides specialized financial and statistical analysis on a broad range of marketing and execution activities. Conducts research, on-going analysis, prepares supporting documentation, and assists in due diligence efforts on transactions.

Depth & Scope

  • Works within a deal team under the overall direction of a senior officer
  • Assists in the analysis of clients' financial situations, industry and market data, and M&A opportunities
  • Assists in valuations of private and public companies
  • Performs basic to intermediate financial modeling in Excel
  • Provides input to external client proposals and internal underwriting memos; assists in the preparation of client presentations based upon the above
  • Establishes an environment that promotes respect for the individual employee and adheres to the policies and guidelines of the Bank
  • Maintains confidentiality of client information
  • Experienced working professional level role providing a broad range of support to the team

Education & Experience

  • Undergraduate degree in Business (Accounting or Finance) or Mathematics/Economics;
  • Series 7, 79 and 63
  • 0-3 years of related experience
