Job Description
About The Position
The Analyst will support Dotdash Meredith’s advertising business with a focus on yield/revenue optimization and analytics. This person will be responsible for running monitoring processes as well as contributing to the development of new processes that will increase visibility into yield/revenue health on a daily, monthly and annual basis. This will consist of, but not be limited to, building reports and dashboards in Looker, analyzing data in Excel and creating clear reporting to deliver findings. Additionally, this role will support other members of the team with ad-hoc data requests and analysis. An eagerness to learn about data and the relevant tools is essential for this role.
Hybrid 3x a week- (New York City)
In-office Expectations: This position is hybrid in-office, with the ability to work remotely for up to 2 days per week.

DDM’s Yield Analytics team is a centralized function to monitor and address daily yield, issues and risks across our premium sold digital advertising business as well as partner with our programmatic yield and monetization teams to maximize overall company revenue.
About The Positions Contributions
Accountabilities, Actions and Expected Measurable Results

Daily Yield Monitoring
- Perform daily analysis and reporting on yield health, issues and risks.
- Forecasting reporting for direct campaigns and impact to overall impression fill.
- Use and optimize existing reporting in Looker as well as building new reporting tools/dashboards as needed.
- Work with data teams to build and iterate on reporting capabilities.
- Partner w/ Account Strategy and Operations teams to address in-flight campaign yield risks.
- Perform monthly/annual recurring analysis to identify opportunities and risks as well as inform prioritization for future projects.
Ad Hoc Analysis & Report Building
- Support Yield Analytics team in ad-hoc analysis to support team initiatives. Could include, but not limited to, yield analysis for site or sales team verticals, yield analysis for different ad products/sponsorship types, media mix analysis.
- Write documentation and requirements for the team’s data requests and projects to help shape data infrastructure that serves the needs of the team
- Help build out tools and reporting to increase efficiency when responding to ad-hoc requests
The Role’s Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements
- BA or BS - degree or equivalent training in a related field is preferred.
- Minimum 1 year experience in data and analytics function (from internships or post-college)
- Experience working with/interest in digital media/publishing
- Analytical skills – ease with Excel, pivot tables, functions like lookups
- Data visualization - able to create charts and tables that clearly express insights
- Attention to detail
- Passion for taking data and telling a holistic story
- Proficiency in Powerpoint
- Experience with data tools, our stack includes Looker, SQL, Python, a plus but not required

Pay Range
Salary: New York: 62,400.00 - 70,000.00
The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Dotdash Meredith’s total compensation package for employees. Other compensation may include annual bonuses, and short- and long-term incentives.
