Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in chemical or physical science
Minimum of 2 years of experience as an analytical chemist
Responsibilities
Chemical Analysis:
Perform complex chemical analysis on various matrices
Use sophisticated instrumentation to determine levels of contaminants
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Quality Assurance
Adhere to Quality Assurance guidelines
Maintain proficiency through Proficiency Testing samples
Maintenance And Reporting
Maintain instrumentation and equipment
Prepare technical reports and update SOPs
Keep work area safe and organized
Training And Support
Cross train on different analytical procedures
Assist supervisor with assigned tasks
Requirements
Technical Skills:
Operate complex laboratory equipment such as LC/MS/MS, LC/QTOF, and GC/MS/MS
Knowledge of Sciex equipment preferred
Communication And Knowledge
Communicate effectively within and outside the laboratory
Understanding of good laboratory practices and automated laboratory practices
Knowledge of analytical, organic, and inorganic chemistry principles
Regulatory Knowledge
Familiarity with state and federal laws and regulations
Design analytical techniques and develop new analysis methods

Work independently under minimal supervision
