Location: West Des Moines

Terms: 12 weeks, full-time flexible 37.5 hours/week, in-office

Pay: $28/hour

What You Will Do

  • Code & Innovate: Dive into the coding process by writing new application code, enhancing existing features, and implementing innovative solutions that directly contribute to our business objectives.
  • Code Reviews & Quality Assurance: Assist in code reviews to ensure the quality, security, and efficiency of the software. Learn the best practices for maintaining a clean and efficient codebase.
  • Software Development Lifecycle: Get hands-on experience in all stages of the software development lifecycle, from initial planning and requirement gathering to development, testing, and deployment. You'll be working in an agile environment, where we follow six-week sprints to ensure continuous progress and adaptability.
  • Collaborate & Problem-Solve: Engage in paired programming with experienced developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues within our applications.
  • Engage with Business Leaders: Collaborate with various departments to understand their software needs and translate those needs into technical solutions. Your work will directly impact how different parts of our business operate.
  • Learn Diverse Tools & Platforms: Expand your technical toolkit by working with a range of software development tools and platforms, including the unique Ruby on Rails framework. Whether it’s front-end design, back-end development, or database management, you’ll gain a broad perspective on the field. Don’t worry if you’re new to Ruby on Rails—our team will provide comprehensive training to get you up to speed, allowing you to contribute to real projects in no time.
