Application Engineer/Project Manager Machine Tooling

YER is proud to partner with Felsomat for the recruitment of an Application Engineer/project Manager for their Chicago location, This is a remote role and we a re looking for candidates with a background in the machine tool industry.

In this compelling and exciting position, you will be reporting directly to the local President, and

will be responsible to develop and customize qualified, technical and application solutions based

on customer specification in collaboration with the headquarters. You will be responsible for the

entire management of projects starting with understanding customer requirements. Furthermore,

you will be assisting the team with troubleshooting any technical issues with the machines at the

customer site.

Duties & Responsibilities:

 Build-up and maintain expert level of product and application knowledge

 Listen, understand and convey customer requirements

 Develop and customize qualified, technical and application solutions based on customer

specifications in close cooperation with the competent departments and team members

from the headquarters in Switzerland

 Technical consulting of engineers at target accounts to cover all technical aspects during

project negotiations

 Conduct tender management ensuring compliance to technical specifications and

requirements, as well as pricing and delivery conditions

 Assist in the development of new products and tools necessary to make target accounts

successful

 Conduct project management and project engineering tasks

 Resolve customer issues or difficulties in a manner that is consistent with the company

mission, value, and financial objectives

 Maintain strong professional business relationships within target accounts

 Provide status of ongoing projects and future projects

 Identify customer’s needs and sales opportunities to help future growth

 Perform technical/product training for salespeople and engineers at targeted accounts

Profile:

 4-year University degree in Mechanical Engineering

 Min. 3 years of experience as an application engineer / project manager / sales engineer

within the machine tool industry

 Proven project management skills

 Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills

 Dependable, reliable, trustworthy

 Flexible and willing to adapt

 Willing and able to travel up to 50% within North America and Europe
