Job Summary

The Application Specialist position provides support for one or more applications within Innovista’s core technology portfolio. The Application Specialist works closely with many internal teams and reports to the Manager of Application Specialists.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Develop solutions & support functions to maximize business utility of Innovista’s data & healthcare management applications
  • Implementation, configuration, testing & launch support for applications to support internal or customer needs
  • Support user creation and role assignments & ongoing maintenance in line with corporate security protocols
  • Manage support & product enhancements with platform vendors & internal support tickets in line with established SLAs
  • Assist in developing training materials and end user training to ensure effective user engagement with the applications
  • Collaborate with business teams & platform users to identify priority items for future development
  • Assist in developing, maintaining, communicating and publishing documentation for applications
  • Communicate and interacts effectively and professionally with co-workers, management, customers, etc.
  • Manage product upgrades, releases & data uploads
  • Generate and/or assist with reporting needs

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
  • At least 4 years of relevant professional experience such platform configuration, testing, training and support.
  • Domain experience in healthcare services, managed care, or consulting preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of computer operations, including applicable software platforms and networking preferred.
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational skills.
  • Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrate analytic skills when problem solving.
  • Demonstrate high attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
  • Proficient in MS Office Applications and ability to learn department and job specific software systems.
  • Able to switch priorities in a positive and effective manner when directed by Company leadership.
  • Able to effectively communicate technical concepts with team members and basic business concepts with team members and internal customers.
  • Comply with HIPAA, Diversity Principles, Corporate Integrity, Compliance Program policies and other applicable corporate and departmental policies
