Position Overview

The Application Support Technician Level 3, you will be responsible for system builds, installation, administration, hardware configuration, and technical support for our proprietary products and services. This role will manage computer system builds and implementations for various solutions, demonstrating advanced skills in hardware and software configuration and installation. Quick learning of new technologies is essential. Strong communication and documentation skills are crucial, as you will collaborate with multiple departments within the company, as well as with customers and end-users.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Advanced Certification in Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in hardware/software configuration for server-based networks
  • Must attain the CompTIA Network+ certification or equivalent within one year of starting this position.
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) designation, preferred.
  • Proficiency in network technologies (VoIP, IPTV, IPSEC, VPN, VLAN, TCP/IP, SQL Server, SSL, HL7, NGINX/IIS).
  • Advanced skills in digital media applications, installation, and configuration on Windows and Linux OS.
  • Expertise in virtualization, container technology, and system troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of system building automation tools.
  • Ability to quickly learn new software technology and embrace continuous improvement.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and project management skills.
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly and commit to continuous improvement.
  • Willingness to travel and stay overnight for projects as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Build and configure server hardware and software components.
  • Perform onsite installation of service systems and deploy standards.
  • Validate and test system configurations.
  • Act as a technical lead on project teams, coordinating implementation with subcontractors, customer staff, and project stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation describing functionality and technical requirements.
  • Participate in implementation meetings to understand project requirements.
  • Manage QA/QC defect tracking and installation support escalations at customer sites.
  • Create and deliver technical training guides for customers.
  • Attend training classes, maintain certifications, and adhere to company standards.
  • Maintain a billable/chargeable workload by providing content designs and services related to customer orders and support.
  • Update tickets within our CRM (Salesforce) system.
  • Availability to work nights and weekends when required.
