Job Description: Area Manager - Salem's Fresh Eats

Position Overview

The Area Manager will oversee the operations of four Salem's Fresh Eats locations. This role requires a strong focus on quality control, deliverables, and ensuring each location meets the company's standards for customer service, product quality, and operational efficiency. The Area Manager will be responsible for driving performance improvements, managing staff, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Management:

  • Oversee daily operations across four Salem's Fresh Eats locations.
  • Ensure each location adheres to company policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Conduct regular site visits to assess performance and implement improvements.

Quality Control

  • Monitor product quality and consistency at all locations.
  • Implement and maintain quality control systems.
  • Address any quality issues promptly and effectively.

Staff Management

  • Recruit, train, and supervise location managers and staff.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching for improvement.
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment.

Customer Service

  • Ensure each location delivers exceptional customer service.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints and feedback.
  • Implement customer service training programs for staff.

Financial Management

  • Manage budgets and financial performance for each location.
  • Monitor sales and expenses, implementing cost-saving measures where necessary.
  • Ensure financial targets are met or exceeded.

Health And Safety

  • Ensure all locations comply with health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular health and safety audits.
  • Address any health and safety issues promptly.

Deliverables

  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of products and services.
  • Monitor and improve supply chain efficiency.
  • Implement systems to track and report on deliverables.

Performance Improvement

  • Analyze performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement action plans to drive performance improvements.
  • Report on performance to senior management.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an Area Manager or similar role, preferably in the food service industry.
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • In-depth understanding of quality control procedures.
  • Financial acumen and experience managing budgets.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Education And Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a management role within the food service industry.
  • Demonstrated success in managing multiple locations.

Working Conditions

  • This role requires travel between multiple locations.
  • Flexible working hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
