About The Role

As an Art Director, you will play a key role within the Creative Studio Brand team. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that our client's brand values of freedom, creativity, simplicity, and humanity are consistently reflected in their work. From brand campaigns to branded content, product innovation to partnerships, you will contribute to building a strong brand presence. Your strong conceptual skills, coupled with a deep understanding of design, will allow you to bring these ideas to life.

In this role, you will collaborate with key stakeholders, leading strategic workshops, and providing creative guidance to the team. Your expertise in advertising and communication design will be crucial in developing impactful campaigns and ensuring that our client stands out in the competitive landscape. You will work closely with the design team to bring the vision to reality across various touchpoints.

Additionally, as the Art Director, you will have the opportunity to define creative excellence within the group and influence the overall direction of the team. Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead the creative process, from concept to delivery
  • Translate commercial advertising objectives into compelling creative ideas
  • Collaborate with cross-functional project teams, including designers, copywriters, developers, and project managers, to develop strategic creative designs
  • Create persuasive and conceptually compelling work for campaigns, content, and experiences across various clients
  • Inspire colleagues to originate pioneering ideas that deliver successful solutions
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and teams to align design strategies with the brand's vision
  • Actively seek inspiration and stay updated on industry trends and best practices
  • Mentor junior team members and drive projects with some supervision
  • Ensure project design deliverables meet the highest standards of creative excellence
  • Foster a culture of continuous feedback, collaboration, and improvement within the studio and company
  • Take ownership of internal initiatives to inspire the team and streamline processes
  • Identify growth opportunities and present them to senior leadership for action


Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience leading and designing high-end campaign work
  • Proven experience in a fast-paced agency environment
  • Exceptional design aesthetic and awareness of design trends and innovation
  • Strong attention to detail and passion for delivering exceptional work
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to handle multiple projects, adapt to client needs, and manage uncertainty
  • Understanding of motion design and ability to design for interactions and animations
  • Portfolio demonstrating a variety of visual concepts for brands across multiple mediums
  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken)
  • Based in New York, Amsterdam, or willing to relocate
