Description
Seeking a highly talented and motivated art director to join our editorial team. The ideal candidate will lead and inspire our team throughout the editorial creative process for both digital, print, and special projects.
Responsibilities
Collaborate directly with clients and project teams to understand client objectives and project design
Design, produce and execute the front of the book, well, and cover layouts
Work fluently with editors to generate excellent, cutting-edge creative ideas
Maintain quality graphic design and typography
Manage workflow efficiently
Direct department of designers and interns
Develop and present creative projects that support agreed-upon goals and strategy
Create cross-channel visual communication strategies (digital, print, and motion)
Stay up to date on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in visual communications
5+ years of digital and print design or advertising experience
Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to navigate through servers and cloud apps, organizing and archiving.
Knowledge of social platforms (Twitter, Tumblr, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, Pinterest, Snapchat, etc.)
Excellent design, organization, time management, and communication skills
Must demonstrate refined judgment and precision with typography
Knowledge of motion design
Must be a team player and deadline-oriented
