Art Director / Designer

We work with top entertainers (Dave Chappelle, Madonna, Chris Rock, Rihanna and more) and thousands of schools across 27 countries to eliminate the intrusion of technology and allow people to simply “be here now.”

As our lead Art Director, you will ideate on fresh, innovative ways for Yondr to show up in the world for entertainment audiences, students, and more. Brand look and feel, video content, presentation decks, and global arena signage are just a few of the ways your work will show up in the world.

We are seeking an Art Director/Designer with exceptional graphic design skills to join our team and help shape global perception of our brand.

Role Overview:

As the Art Director at Yondr, you will lead and manage the creative visual direction for our brand across various platforms. You will be responsible for crafting and executing visually compelling assets that elevate the aesthetic and raise global awareness of our fast-growing company. This role involves hands-on design work and close collaboration with internal teams and external partners to deliver high-quality visual content that engages our diverse audiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Craft, develop, and oversee the art direction and design on Yondr’s marketing, promotional, and product materials, ensuring alignment across all sectors of the business.
• Spearhead creative vision and design on small and large projects, harnessing core design principles, strong typography/layout skills, and creative concepting.
• Utilize your artistic expertise to craft and execute visually stunning assets, including presentation decks, video content, print materials, and event signage.
• Mentor junior members of the marketing team and oversee external vendors, providing creative direction and feedback while setting high standards for craftsmanship and execution. Ability to craft creative executions on your own as well as direct/oversee creative work from outsourced designers, photographers and videographers.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to translate strategic goals into impactful visual content.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging design technologies to continuously enhance Yondr’s visual presence.
• Prioritize work and resources across engagements, based on short and long-term needs.
• Self-starter with initiative and drive, capable of executing ideas quickly with limited creative oversight.
• Extremely high attention to detail when creating content and reviewing final materials.

Qualifications:

• 5-7 years of experience in art direction/graphic design at either agency or in-house.
• Demonstrable conceptual and design skills with a strong creative portfolio.
• Extensive experience with concepting and producing video, OOH/print, email marketing, event signage, websites, and taking 360 campaigns from concept through production.
• Hands on experience with logo design, typography, color, web layout design, print production, image selection and package design.
• Proficient in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, and other visual design tools
• Incorporate feedback and take/give direction well
• Strong leadership, communication, project management, and presentation skills.
• A passion for design and a deep understanding of brand storytelling
• Located in or willing to move to Los Angeles, CA for the position.
