Description
We are seeking a talented and creative Art Instructor who will inspire students to express themselves through the various mediums of art. You will be working with students from grades K-12, instilling in them a love for creativity and empowering them to use art as a form of self-expression. The ideal candidate will have a rich background in various artistic mediums, a passion for teaching, and the patience and dedication to foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
Responsibilities
We are seeking a talented and creative Art Instructor who will inspire students to express themselves through the various mediums of art. You will be working with students from grades K-12, instilling in them a love for creativity and empowering them to use art as a form of self-expression. The ideal candidate will have a rich background in various artistic mediums, a passion for teaching, and the patience and dedication to foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Teach art classes to students from grades K-12, adapting teaching style and content to the appropriate grade level.
- Develop comprehensive lesson plans that engage students in a variety of art mediums including but not limited to painting, drawing, sculpture, printmaking, and digital arts.
- Foster a nurturing, creative, and inclusive environment for students to explore their artistic skills.
- Evaluate and provide constructive feedback on student's work to help improve their techniques and overall creative expression.
- Demonstrate art techniques and assist students in applying these techniques to their own work.
- Organize and prepare students' artwork for school exhibits and community events.
- Ensure all lessons and activities comply with safety protocols.
- Stay current with the latest art education techniques and trends.
- Bachelor's degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Prior teaching experience or relevant work experience in a K-12 setting preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge and skills in various art mediums.
- Ability to communicate effectively and clearly with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Patience and dedication to cultivating an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit different ages and abilities.
