Tenure Track Faculty Announcement
Assistant/Associate Professor Tenure Track Position The Department of Parks, Recreation, and Tourism in the College of Health at the University of Utah is pleased to announce a nine-month assistant/associate professor tenure track appointment to begin fall semester 2025. The Department is looking for a research-active faculty member who will complement our current faculty and build from the inherent strengths of the College of Health, University, and the State of Utah.
The successful candidate will have a strong research agenda that either aligns with current research efforts in the Department and College or holds sufficient critical mass to sustain an independent research lab, which supports graduate students and research activities. Further, the successful candidate will teach core courses in our graduate and undergraduate programs, seek external funding to support their agenda, and recruit and supervise graduate students.

Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism at the University of Utah As a Department , we envision a global community that values and celebrates parks, recreation, and tourism. Our faculty and staff serve approximately 200 undergraduates, 15 MS, and 15 PhD students. College of Health The College of Health is among the largest of the colleges and schools at the University with 2,500 undergraduates and 600 graduate students. Degree options include 18 BA/BS degree emphases, 16 master’s degree programs, three clinical doctorates, and five PhD programs. This combination of graduate degrees, professional programs, and undergraduate majors uniquely positions the College to contribute to the clinical and research missions of University of Utah Health and high impact educational practices on the main campus.
