The Department of Chemistry at Claflin University invites applications for a tenure track assistant/associate professor position in chemistry to teach undergraduate chemistry classes.The chemistry department at Claflin University offers an ACS accredited undergraduate program and is equipped with state-of-the-art analytical instruments. The successful applicant will be responsible for teaching general chemistry classes and advanced classes inorganic chemistry and biochemistry. The successful applicant will be expected to attract funding from external agencies, maintain an undergraduate research programin chemistry, serve on departmental and faculty committees, and perform other related academic duties.

This position requires a Ph.D. in Chemistry and teaching/post-doctoral research experience. The successful candidate must have an established record of teaching, research, grantsmanship, and peer reviewed publications appropriate for the appointment at the rank of assistant/associate professor in chemistry.

Salary: Commensurate with experience
