Sony Electronics Inc. has an opportunity available for an Assistant Business Manager / Data Analyst within the Imaging Solutions organization. This person will be responsible for analyzing market trends, Sony’s performance over competitors versus budget/forecast, providing insights to key stakeholders and identifying key areas of opportunity to improve the business. This individual must have a high comfort level with presenting, creating regular and ad hoc reports, and a high proficiency in manipulating large data sets.
The Assistant Business Manager / Data Analyst’s role will be involved in various aspects of the business and will be required to data collect and analyze/create reports related to Customer Research, Customer Marketing, and market data from multiple sources (internal and external) across several product categories. This role will also be involved in Imaging Specialty product marketing activities planning and execution, evaluating competitive products and internal pricing strategies, assisting in the creation and implementation of marketing programs and promotions, supporting on product launches, and participating in trade shows and executing other special projects as required.
Minimum Requirements:
In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for a bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package including healthcare benefits (medical, dental, and vision), paid medical leave after three months of employment, a 401k plan with matching company contributions, vacation time, education assistance, student loan assistance program, eighty hours of paid sick leave time annually, and up to twelve weeks paid parental leave after six months of employment.

Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in business-related degree with a concentration in data analytics, data science, business analytics, mathematics, economics, or statistics is preferred
- Must have at least 3 years of related experience in data collection/analysis/reporting
- Strong analytical background and business savvy
- Advanced Excel proficiency including pivot tables and complex formulas
- Experience with Power BI
- Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Solid oral and written communication skills, and professional presentation skills
- Strong time management and prioritization skills
- Ability to work well with cross-functional teams and take a leadership role within the team
- Must be willing and able to travel up to 10% of the time
- Experience in report automation
- Experience with market and customer segmentation analysis, deriving insights from data collection towards identifying behavioral and purchasing trends
- Experience with designing, implementing, and reviewing results from surveys related to customer journey, customer satisfaction, NPS, and other related fields
- Demonstrable experience with data cleansing, linking different source of information into a comprehensive data set
- Demonstrable experience with data visualization in programs including but not limited to: Excel, Power BI, Tableau, Sisense, and others
- Experience in the consumer electronics industry or a similar industry, with a working knowledge of concepts related to online and brick-and-mortar executions such as traffic, sales conversion rates, market seasonality, promotional seasonality, and market trends is strongly preferred
