Assistant Director of Operations

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Assist the Director of Business Operations as follows:
  • Supervise the daily high-level operations of a fast paced, multi-specialty medical group with multiple locations in both Colorado and Wyoming
  • Provide leadership support to teams of clinical, administrative, billing and provider staff and clinic leads
  • Monitor business processes, identify deficiencies, and implement solutions to promote workflow optimization
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams on business projects and monitor progress of achieving objectives
  • Maintain collaborative working relationships with all levels of management, providers, staff and business partners
  • Create reports and monitor clinical and revenue cycle KPI performance
  • Oversee development and coordination of new office locations and their needs as required
  • Assist in budgeting and monitoring expenses and allocate company resources to only the most productive functions
  • Promote company growth, mission and values
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies
  • Participate in staffing decision making (hiring, training, evaluating etc.)
  • Maintain scheduling of meetings and events, and represent the company when needed

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Care Administration, Business Administration, related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 2 years in a high level management position in the health care industry
  • Excellent computer skills with the ability to strategically analyze business intelligence & KPI performance data
  • Expert use of MS Office (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel & Teams)
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Record workflow optimization and reporting
  • Skilled at identifying workflow deficiencies and collaborating with teams to improve processes
  • Knowledge of revenue cycle management, including familiarity with financials reporting, claims processing, commercial payers, CMS, and work comp
  • Leadership experience working with providers & clinical staff
  • Project a warm, enthusiastic and friendly demeanor in team member interactions and demonstrate exceptional communication skills

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working in a high paced, fast growing environment
  • Experience with Athena Health EHR
  • Experience in the specialties of PT, Internal Medicine/Pediatrics or Mental Health
